On Monday, March, 16th at 04:56 hrs, Station 40 was dispatched to a gas leak outside the structure behind 343 Erica Avenue in High Point Park. Chief Pennington Sr, 40-15 went responding as Command 40 at 05:04 hrs. Shortly thereafter, Engine 40-3, under the direction of Chief Engineer Adam Warner, went responding with a crew of 4. Command went on location at 05:09 hrs reporting that the RP had evacuated the residence because of a slight odor of gas coming from the two tanks at the rear of the structure. Personnel on scene then shut off the faulty tank and awaited the arrival of DSP for possible malicious activity. Chief Phil Pennington, Sr. then placed the scene under control at 05:12 hrs. All units were clear and in quarters at 06:10 hrs. Units responding were Command 40-15 and Engine 40-3.
