At 6:40 pm on May 31, 2009 the Bowers Fire Company placed Quint 40 in service. This apparatus is a 2008 Ferrara 77 foot aerial. this unit's chassis is a 2008 HME Intruder 2 with a 6 man cab. 5 of those seats are SCBA equipped with 6 spare SCBA cylinders. This unit carries 400 gallons of water, 3 1 3/4 attack lines, it has a Hale Qu-max 2000 gallon per minute pump, and it has one trash line at 100 feet. This unit also carries 800 feet of 4 inch LDH supply line. It has one MSA thermal imaging camera, assorted rescue tools, a Hurst tool, one water vac, and an 8KW Harrison generator. It also carries assorted salvage tools and covers, an assortment of NFPA compliant ground ladders, assorted pipe pools, and an assortment of saws. This unit will be identified as Quint 40.
