Station 40 Assists with Annual Jeep Races - Skeeter Neck Road

This Memorial Day Weekend Bowers Fire Company along with Frederica Fire Company, and Houston Fire Company, assisted with the annual jeep races. Firefighters stood ready to assist any drivers that ran into trouble. As you can see from the pictures, there were some overturned vehicles and even one that caught fire. Our firefighters, under the direction of Chief Jeff Morris, were on hand both Saturday and Sunday for the festivities. Neighboring companies were on hand as well to help make sure that the event ran smoothly. Thanks to all those that gave of their time to help with this event.
