Open Water Rescue Class - Delaware Bay - Slaughter Beach

On July 23, 2010, Bowers Fire Company was invited to attend an Open Water Rescue Class hosted by Memoral Fire Company in Slaughter Beach. The class was also attended by Milton Fire Company. This class was provided by Delaware State Fire School. During the class members learned techiniques to use in the event of an open water rescue. Chief Jeff Morris attended the training and assisted in the rescue class with our boat 40-Marine-1, which was pulled by our Brush Truck, Brush 40. We would like to thank Memorial Fire Company and their Chief Terry Jester for extending the invitation.
