Station 40 Responds to Trailer Fire - 47 Sycamore Drive - High Point Park

On March 10, 2011 Station 40 along with Station 49 and 55 were dispatched to a working trailer fire. Upon dispatch Chief Engineer, Mike Noble was located at Bay Rd and Clapham Rd. He then went to the scene to find a 14x70 mobile home with smoke showing. A grounds maintnence employee had pulled a garden hose from a neighboring house and started spraying water through the bedroom window to knock the fire down. Engine 40 went on scene with Chief Pennington on board. Once on scene they pulled one 1 3/4 hose to the front door. Chief Pennington then took Interior Command and Chief Engineer Noble assumed High Point Command. Station 40 was assisted by Stations 55 and 49. The fire took about 15 mins to contain and place under control. The scene was then turned over to 40-15 at that time they did some overhaul and mopup. All units were returned.
