On Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 Station 40 was dispatched for a multiple family structure fire with an assist from Station 49. Quint 40 went on scene under command of 40-20 (Chief Engineer, Donald Foraker) with nothing showing. Quint 40 and 49-1's crew went inside the structure to investigate. All assisting units Tanker 40, 49-5, and Ladder 49 were advised to hold their crews. Crews found electrical issues had caused the minor smoke and a burning smell inside the residence. Power was turned off in the residence and the tenants where informed of these issues. After a check of the house with thermal imaging equipment the scene was placed under control units were returned.
