On Saturday, October 29, 2011, weather conditions caused flooding in the Bowers Beach area. There was a crew on stand by at the station in the event residents needed assistance. For the most part flooding conditions lasted several hours and residents just rode out the conditions by staying inside and waiting out the high water. As you can see there were some who were impatient and tried their luck. Some made it through the water and others needed assistance to get out. Remember during any weather conditions your best bet is to stay inside where it is warm and safe.
