At 14:24, the Kent Center alerted Bowers Fire Co. for a Diabetic Emergency on a fishing vessel. Command 40, under the authority of Captain Adam Warner went responding as did Brush 40 with 40 Marine 1 in tow. Command went on scene with 40 Marine 1 and ordered the marine crew to launch. An EMT Shirley Pennington accompanied the Rescue Crew under the authority of Marine Captain Jordan Giuttari aboard 40 Marine 1. Command made contact with the fishing vessel, Captain's Lady, to coordinate a transfer of EMT Pennington. Sea conditions were 2-3 feet which made a patient transfer too dangerous. 40 Marine 1 escorted the fishing vessel back to JP's Wharf where A-40 and KM-7 awaited their arrival. The patient was transferred and transported as Command placed the situation under control with all units returning.
