On Wednesday, December 26th, Station 40 was dispatched to assist Station 42 with a working structure fire. After crews had been dispatched earlier for a small outside fire, they were still in the station when they heard the call. Chief Pennington alerted Kent Center that we had an engine crew available if needed. Shortly after that we were called back and Quint 40 was then requested to standby Station 42. Upon their arrival at Station 42, Quint 40 was dispatched to the scene to assist with the structure fire located at Warren Furniture in downtown Milford. Once on scene, Quint 40 was instructed to ladder the building to assist with ventilation and fire suppression. Quint 40 and it's crew were on scene for about 3 1/2 hours returning to Station 40 around 1:30am. Members included: Deputy Chief Morris, Past Chief Trowbridge, 1st Asst. Chief Warner, Capt Noble, FF McGinnis, FF Greek. A40 was also dispatched for a standby on scene with EMT Potter, FF Sweeney, and FF McDonough. Great work by all.
