Station 40 Dispatched to a Working Trailer Fire

At 04:32, on March 13, 2013, the Bowers Fire Company was dispatched for a working trailer fire in High Point West. Command 40 (Asst. Chief Warner) arrived with heavy fire showing from a single wide manufactured home. Crews from Engine 40 and 49-2 made a defensive attack from the front of the trailer and crews from 55-4 did the same from the rear of the trailer. Tanker 40 and Tanker 55 established a water supply for these two operations. Two patients were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. All crews were faced with extensive overhaul due to the condition of the residence. Units cleared shortly after 06:30. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office. Many thanks go out to our neighboring companies for the effective and efficient mutual aid response.
