Memorial Day Weekend 2013 marked a first for the Town of Bowers. We hosted our first Buccaneer Bash. This event was coordinated by Judy Martin who is affiliated with the Bowers Maritime Museum. She received help from the Town as well as Bowers Fire Company. There were events in the town park both days, rides on the Captain's Lady, and a Pirates Ball at the fire house. The fire company hosted breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as well as dinner Saturday night. If you missed the event this year...rumor is they will be returning next year!!
