It is with the deepest regret that the Carlisle Fire Company announces Lifetime Member and Chief Emeritus James Abbott has answered his last alarm on October 22, 2015. James Abbott was a member that touched the hearts of so many. James Abbott served Carlisle as the President, and various positions on the Board of Directors, as well as many other committees that he so faithfully had such great pride in. James Abbott was named Chief Emeritus in 2009, a well deserving award to a well deserving member. James Abbott will be sorely missed inside the walls of the Carlisle Fire Company forever. The officers and members send their thoughts and prayers to Station 42.
