Willie joined the department on 5/18/1978 as a junoir member and has remained active. He has served all elective and appointed positions to include Fire Chief and President. He also served as President of the Kent County and Delaware State Ambulance Assn.. He recieved numerous awards from the department, including 2 Lifesaving awards, John H. Williams Award, and others. He also has been recognized by both Kent County and New Castle County EMS for his revival of patients in cardiac arrest. He currently works as a paid Firefighter/EMT for the Minquadale Fire Company in New Castle County.
