Steve has been a member of the Bowers Fire Company since 1974. He has been an active member of the Fire Police since 1989. Over the years he has held positions on both the administrative and line officer side. He is a past trustee, past asst chief engineer, past asst secretary, and past vice-president. He is a life member fo the company as well. In 1996 he was awarded most fire calls, most ambulance calls for fire police, and was in the top five. In 1997 he was again awarded most ambulance calls for fire police. He continues to be an active member of the company.
